Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), founded in 1863, is the largest technical university in Italy with about 48,000 students. The university offers undergraduate, graduate and higher education programs in engineering, architecture and design. POLIMI participates in Digital4Security through the Department of Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering (DIG) which is part of the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano.

The School of Management today includes a broad range of research initiatives addressing opportunities and challenges posed by digital technologies to business and society. It enrolls over 6,000 students in degree programmes.

Our contribution

to the Digital4Security project

POLIMI enhances the project through numerous contributions, starting with the creation of the Masters Programme Curriculum, tailored to meet the evolving needs of students and industry. POLIMI will co-lead the design and implementation of the European Mobility Programme for Students and Teachers, facilitating knowledge exchange and enriching experiences.

POLIMI contributes both with a suite of dynamic and readily accessible training materials and courses, and will create additional case studies, good practices and problem solving projects, fostering critical thinking and practical application of knowledge. Lastly, POLIMI actively contributes to project management, ensuring quality assurance, and fostering the development of a sustainable Masters programme that upholds excellence and meets the needs of stakeholders.

DIG’s mission is to contribute to the common good and individual well-being through a critical understanding of the opportunities and challenges posed by technology to business and society. DIG pursues its mission with an international reach by creating and sharing knowledge through high-quality education, the quest for scientific excellence, and active community engagement.
