Brno University of Technology (BRNO-BUT) is the biggest technical university in the Czech Republic with approx. 20,000 students currently studying at 8 faculties. The BUT project team consists of the members of the Brno Applied Cryptography and Security Engineering (AXE) Group at the Department of Telecommunications at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication (FEEC). BUT currently provides Bachelor, Master and PhD programs in Cybersecurity, with over 100 students every year.

BUT has recently led the Cybersecurity Competence Network Pilot SPARTA’s Education WP, participating in ENISA European Cybersecurity Skills Framework activities and participating in many EU projects on cybersecurity training and education. BUT is also member of the Czech National Cybersecurity Framework Working Group and contributes to strategic technological projects, such as building National Quantum Network, part of the EuroQCI infrastructure. BUT is also the creator of many software tools for the support of cybersecurity education and training, such as Curricula Designer or Education Map.
